Run a lookup.
IP geolocation data and reverse PTR records are retrieved from public registries. Geolocation represents ISP routing estimates, not physical GPS coordinates. PTR record updates are subject to recursive DNS caching.
Standard: Reverse PTR lookup uses RFC 3596 compliant 32-nibble IPv6 expansion and standard IPv4 in-addr.arpa delegation.
Direct answers for search, answer engines, and generative crawlers.
A PTR (Pointer) record maps an IP address back to its associated domain name (the opposite of an A record). PTR records are critical for email deliverability; receiving mail servers reject incoming messages from mail servers whose IP addresses lack valid reverse DNS.
