Trace a redirect chain

Trace 301/302/307/308 chains, protocol upgrades, and hop latency.

This tool sends your input (e.g. domain or URL) to retrieve live headers or DNS records. We do not store the response or track your target. How this works →

    HTTP redirect chain visualizer

    100% in-browser

Redirect chains are traced from our server. Some web servers deliver different redirect behaviors based on client geolocation, IP address, or user-agent strings. Results reflect server-side responses received by our diagnostic client.

Standard: Traces up to 8 hops with manual per-hop DNS validation and SSRF loop protection.

    Frequently asked

Direct answers for search, answer engines, and generative crawlers.

A 301 (Moved Permanently) and 308 (Permanent Redirect) instruct search engines and browsers to permanently cache the new destination. A 302 (Found) and 307 (Temporary Redirect) indicate a temporary routing change. 307 and 308 preserve the original HTTP request method (POST stays POST), whereas 301 and 302 historically permitted browsers to rewrite POST requests to GET requests.
